Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy your instruments?
Not yet. I’m still refining the designs to make them suitable for production and easier to manufacture consistently.
How much will they cost?
I haven’t determined the final prices yet.
When will they be available?
I don’t have a release date to announce yet. I’ll share development updates on this website.
Do you offer custom configurations?
At the moment I only develop standard configurations.
Will you offer a piano-keyboard version?
Not at the moment. A piano keyboard would make the instrument considerably larger and compromise its portability, which is one of my main design goals.
Which keyboard layouts do you support?
I’m focusing on B-system and C-system layouts for the right hand, and Stradella and free-bass (converter) layouts for the left. The final list may change, and I may add more layouts through firmware updates.
Will you offer DIY kits or release your designs as open source?
No, I plan to offer complete instruments rather than DIY kits, and I don’t plan to release the designs as open source.
Can I test a prototype?
I don’t currently offer prototypes for external testing. However, I sometimes bring my development instruments to events like Maker Faire, where visitors can try them in person.
